THE DISCREPANCY // 051
Some viewers remember Tinker Bell writing the Disney name, dotting its i or tapping a stubborn wand during an introduction. There are genuine sequences featuring her. The unsettled detail is which complete sequence belongs to the movie, disc or broadcast in your memory.

SECOND STAR — A small star is numbered 2. The direction belongs to another journey.
BEFORE THE REFERENCE
Rebuild the opening in order: background, castle, lettering, flight path, sound and final spark. Was there blue behind it, or a live-action scene? Write the sequence before watching a compilation. A fragment can look almost right while the next movement is the part you have been waiting for.
THE TRACE TO FOLLOW
Keep the release and the material immediately before the feature. A television introduction, promotional ident and home-video logo can share a character without sharing the same animation. The report stays open until a particular remembered sequence can be matched to a particular copy. Which last gesture would make you say: that is it?
Keep your first version
Record the detail before opening a reference. Keep the exact object, release or edition with your comparison. A first recollection and a later discovery can be followed as separate traces.
FOLLOW THE SOURCES
Compare the particular object, recording or documented account.
Reported recollections and discussion; a separate trail from the reference.
